Touch//Screen
new work research @ Contingency of the Now #2
NLHSpace | Copenhagen | October 2014
curated by Rie Hovmann Rasmussen

Touch//Screen will be developed as an experimental participatory one-to-one and small audience performance work which occurs both on screen and in the space, producing an archive of video traces for later exhibition. Considering the screen as a third space of intersubjectivity, Touch//Screen will ask: How can the digital self be regarded less as prosthesis and more as scope for the sensual in relation to identity and others? Are we now thoroughly fatigued by privileging the mediated over the live and is there really a clear distinction left between the two? How is our increasingly daily inhabitation of screen spaces inflected by our memories of cinema? What are the productive limitations of the screen?
