Wer Hat Angst Vor Meinem Kleinen Wolf?
100º Berlin Festival | HAU - Hebbel am Ufer | Berlin | February 2014
An opera in perpetual progress
Born from days & nights & nights & days running & running through the mists of Volkspark Humboldthain, Berlin and trails around Kalasatama, Helsinki. A sketch. For an opera. For one. A woman. A spectacle. Devised in pursuit of wildness. The wildness of wolves. Wolves as metaphor. For ourselves. For longing. For ambition. An opera. An ambitious form. (Mis)understood as a space for melodrama. As the exhaustion of earnestness. 0 budget. Maximum ambition. An antidote to irony. Which is never enough. In love or anywhere. But which plagues us all. Hunting high and low. Caught in the space between representation and encounter.
Captured & Mounted.
Task by task.
Alarm after alarm.
All for your savage amusement...
